I created a sub-wiki with configuration
- only admins can invite users
- this wiki uses only own, local users
but I’m confused with login and notification.
The users of the main wiki gets notification of this sub-wiki - alos if this users does not exists in the sub-wikis user base. Also users of main wiki were able to login to sub-wiki.
I’ld like to run the sub-wiki like stand-slone but using the same jvm. I don’t like to share content, users, rights across the wikis.
Did or expect I something wrong? How to fix the issues?
The main wiki is special and users who have an account on it can log in on subwikis. However whether they can view, edit or perform other tasks depend on the permissions you’ve defined on these subwikis.
Note: users of subwikis cannot log in on other subwikis. Only main users can log in on subwikis.
So I have to decide to move my mainwiki users and content to another subwiki OR to define permissionis of mainusers inside the subwiki?
So I changed und subwiki rights the groups to no rights an the two users with needed rights.
- if I now log in to subwiki with a global user, I see a page showing no rights anymore but I can’t log out ;-(
- if I edit an article in subwiki the global users now don’t seem to get notifications anymore
Thanks
