Hello,
I am continuing to test Confluence imports in XWiki before the next evaluation. Since some time I could see the pages containing tables have lines marked as lines, but columns only show a space between the columns instead of a line for a separation.
I have not yet tried to check if a new import solves this (just updated to LTS 15.10.2 with a new import, however I would like to know if someone else noticed and found a way to fix it, or if I could get an advice on this?
Thanks for your help, and best wishes for this ending year.
Joyce
This does not really have much to do with the import actually, that’s just the default style of tables in XWiki.
Hi @tmortagne thanks for your information. I have added 1 pixel border in a table and seen lines being drawn. Then I guess if we want lines to show, we might want to tweak the stylesheet of the theme and perhaps create a theme of our own? (Is there such a thing as “child themes” in XWiki where a child theme based on a parent can be created with just the files that need being modified, and then still benefit of the updates from the parent theme?)
Sorry, not really my area of expertise, so not sure what’s the cleanest.
In XWiki there is the concept if of Color Theme, but this column separation does not seem to be part of it.
I guess the other possibilities are:
- customize the default theme (but makes upgrade a bit harder)
- it’s easy to tell XWiki to inject some custom CSS on the whole wiki, see https://extensions.xwiki.org/xwiki/bin/view/Extension/Skin%20Extension%20Plugin
