Velocity training documentation : there is a sentence which is confusing

Hello,
I am trying to get into the interesting details. Here, https://www.xwiki.org/xwiki/bin/view/Documentation/DevGuide/Scripting/XWikiVelocityTraining

I don’t understand this sentence:
Which means it control what you display.

Is it supposed to read : Which means it uses to control what you display ? (as in “means=methods”, as in which methods it makes use of to control… )

Or rather Which means, it controls what you display?

Or something else? (I would guess it should read “it controls what you display”, but I’d like to be sure).

Hello,

Briefly, OMV using the Velocity code language, any user, whether experienced or novice, can change the page layout (representation) in XWiki.

Maybe some users interpret it differently.

Therefore, what you are telling me, “control” in the sentence, should end with an “s”? As in “Velocity is a template language which controls what you display” ?
PS: what might be OMV ?

The original sentence is:
“Which means it control what you display.”

You’ve raised a valid point. It appears there’s a grammatical error in the sentence. It should indeed read:
“Which means it controls what you display.”
( control → controls)

So your understanding is correct. The sentence should convey that Velocity is a template language that controls what is displayed on your page.
