Can’t activate figure numbering

Good afternoon, friends, please help!
I installed the Numbering Content components:

  • Numbered Figures Application;
  • Numbered Headings Application;
  • Reference Macro for the Numbered Content Applications.

Now I’m trying to activate numbering according to the instruction:

To activate figures numbering on a Space or a Page, a NumberedFigures.Code.NumberedFiguresClass XObject can be added, and its status field set to Activated.

I added this class and put “Activated” on the page with pictures and tables. I also tried adding it to the xwiki home page. But this does not work, the numbers in the figures and tables are not displayed. What could be wrong? Maybe there is another way to activate numbering?

I will be very grateful for your help!

An excellent solution has been made for the “Numbered Headings Application” activation on the “Page Information” tab, and it is really very convenient! Is it possible to do the same for figures and tables?

This is possible but would require some additional development effort :slight_smile:

Seems like the way to go.

Can you share the content of a page your tested on, to check if this could be the cause?
Also, can you check your browser console to check if there is some errors there. And, if you have access to them, your server logs as well.

Thanks a lot. I can reproduce on 15.9, but not on 14.10.18, meaning that something changed on XWiki itself between those versions.

I’ve created to keep track of the issue Loading...

I’ll keep you posted as I investigate what’s going on.

To be precise, the problem starts on 15.8, so figure numbering still works on 15.7.

Loading... fix the issue on XWiki, you will need to upgrade to 15.9 (released next Monday) though.
