Dev training: Web accessibility

Hi!
As you might know, we’ve been aiming for XWiki to fulfill WCAG 2.2 AA, the international standard for web accessibility.
I’ve been contributing on those accessibility improvements since last year and I’d like to share what I learned with our community
I’ll be organizing a web accessibility training session on the 8th of July at 3PM UTC+2 (CEST).

Its primary target is front-end development. The training will assume basic knowledge of HTML.

The training session should take about an hour total, with 45 minutes of presentation and about 15 minutes of discussion/questions. The training presentation will have three parts:

  • What is web accessibility.
  • Understanding and addressing the most common web accessibility mistakes
  • Discovering handy tools and resources for web accessibility

The training session will be recorded so that we can keep an archive of this training for anyone interested that couldn’t make it that day.

Have a great day!
