Hi devs,
In the past we have discussed and agreed to have an Automation page to list automation actions.
The goal of this page is several:
- show appreciation to whoever helped improve XWiki’s automation
- realize that we’re doing work on automation and see how much we achieve in a year. And thus be able to compare year to year and see how we fare.
- provides emulation to all of us to do even more in this domain
See [xwiki-devs] [Proposal] Automation Achievement Page on xwiki.org for the past discussion.
We haven’t added automation achievements on it since 2015. In short it only worked for a very short amount of time. I think the reason is simply that we forgot to add achievements to it and there was no process that was making this natural.
I still like the idea but the result is that it’s probably too hard to maintain and follow. So I feel that the simplest option is to drop it. If we’re ok to do that we can just delete the page (there isn’t too much stuff on it) or define a place for “attic” stuff on xwiki.org, similar to the Drafts space.
WDYT?
Thanks
