Error when using Emojis

Hello everyone,

I’m having trouble inserting emojis on Wiki pages. The transformation is working correct, for example if I put “:)” it is turned into :slight_smile: on the page.
Once I use emojis from the menu bar in the WYSIWYG CKEditor the page cannot be created and I get following error message:
java.sql.SQLException: Incorrect string value: ‘\xF0\x9F\xA4\xA9&#…’ for column ‘XWR_PATCH’ at row 1

I am currently using XWiki Version 12.1.

Ah okay I didn’t know it was a known bug. I’ll just deactivate the Emoji Panel in the meantime then. Thank you.

It’s not really a bug. You just need to use utf8mb4 for your DB.
