Flash messages don't appear

Hello XWiki Community,

I am trying to use the Flash Messages Application, but the messages won’t appear. I remember testing it a few years ago when it worked, but I can’t figure out why it doesn’t right now. Is there something I need to configure?

Flash Messages are created as terminal pages, place of creation is /bin/view/Flash/, which is both standard, start/end date is set appropriately, group is XWikiAllGroup, App version is 1.1.10, XWiki is 17.10.12.

Hi @Dave47,

When you set the group, are you using XWikiAllGroup or XWiki.XWikiAllGroup?
It looks like you need the full name in order to have the messages displayed on the top banner.

Ah, thank you, the full name works. I just added a note and set it as default value :slight_smile:

Following to that, do you or does anyone else know, why there is an empty paragraph and one with “:” in the message and how to edit it?

The alignment is broken in the newer XWiki version, but the expected result is date : message, so 18/08/2026 08:00:00 : test message.
