My name is David Cruz, and I am a recent computer science and mathematics graduate from the United States. I am particularly interested in Machine Learning/NLP, and I would like to work on the “AI based tagging pages” or the “Content-based Tag Suggestions” project for GSoC this year. I am experienced in Python, Java, and some practical knowledge of C++. I am familiar with Pandas, Numpy, TensorFlow, and scikit-learn. I am excited to contribute!
Welcome @Doofus and thank you for your interest. Your background sounds good for this kind of project. If you haven’t just omitted that part, you might still need to learn a bit more about web development (HTML, CSS, JavaScript) - nothing really advanced, but you’ll need to know the basics. You should also make sure you familiarize yourself with XWiki and come up with a plan how to integrate whatever solution you pick in XWiki, ideally with a small prototype that demonstrates the general feasibility and your understanding of XWiki.
