How to fix email subject encoding - ANSI_X3.4-1968

Hello,

XWiki version : 14.10.17

The subject email for Notification of event Évènements sur le wiki is:
Subject: =?ANSI_X3.4-1968?Q?15_=3Fv=3Fnement(s)_sur_le_wiki?=

Other problem, URL links inside are to localhost : http://localhost/bin/XWiki/Sujet

If we share a XWiki page by email, everything is correct.

You can assume that we using french language.

Hello, you should upgrade to a supported version (maybe it’s been fixed).

I would try with the LTS version : 16.10.4

I have done the upgrade.
XWiki version : 16.10.5
Install on a Docker base on Red Hat UBI8. Version14.10.17 was on Docker to.

Still have the sames issues:

  1. The subject email for Notification of event Évènements sur le wiki is:
    Subject: =?ANSI_X3.4-1968?Q?15_=3Fv=3Fnement(s)_sur_le_wiki?=
  2. URL links inside are to localhost: http://localhost/bin/XWiki/Sujet
    If I share a XWiki page by email, everything is correct.

The problem was cause by LANG=C.utf8. I fix it by setting LANG=EN_CA.UTF-8.

That solve the import of Office document with accented characters that are not displaying correctly.

For the second issues, I would open a other subject.
