There’s not feature to remove it. What you can do is provide a custom skin and override the template that has it. Or modify the default template. Note that you’re then on your own for upgrades.

You can hide it from CSS. From a color theme, from a skin extension or from the skin itself.

Indeed that’s much simpler than my option check the skin extension (ssx) page on xwiki.org
