Is Admin permission inherited on sub-wikis?

Hello,

If we give some users Admin rights on main wiki level, will this privilege be inherited to sub-wikis?

At the moment it seems that this is the case. We want some users be Admin on main wiki, but not on a single sub-wiki and wondering how to achieve this.

Yes. Rights on the main wiki are inherited in subwikis.

This is doable for stuff like READ and WRITE rights, but it’s not possible to block ADMIN right when you have it at a upper level.

I understand what’s the intention behind. But I think to make the admin right deniable at sub-wiki level would be a great feature.
