Is there a way to turn active install ping off?

Our serve is behind our fire wall and server admins wouldn’t open the fire wall for this
Active Installation ping to [https://extensions.xwiki.org/activeinstalls2] (try [1]). Error = [IOException: Connection reset by peer].
It would be nice not to see this in the logs.

Hello @mayo-user1,

If you are using 14.5RC1 or higher, see https://extensions.xwiki.org/xwiki/bin/view/Extension/Active%20Installs%202%20API/#HConfiguration
For older versions, see https://extensions.xwiki.org/xwiki/bin/view/Extension/Active%20Installs%20Client%20API#HDescription

Thanks, I’ve now documented it properly at https://extensions.xwiki.org/xwiki/bin/view/Extension/Active%20Installs%202%20API/#HOptingOut

I am using 15.5 war install again this is due server policies out of my control. The link vmassol posted takes me to a 15.5 extension, will try. I see the myxwiki space is using 15.3. I tried the 14.10.13 war install which I got working on first startup but after a tomcat restart it try’s to recreate all tables-index. Did set createDatabaes = false it did not help second, third … restart failed in browser, did post on forum. (Xwiki won't work on a tomcat restart)
Gave up on 14 moved no to 15.5 which does the same thing recreate all tables-index when I hit main page (lots of error about table … already exists). Before getting to main I have to click through the Admin screens kind of like a first start but would let me create an Admin user but when I get to main All is Good. My data is in tact and Admin user and password still working
Thoughts?
P.s. any eta on when 15.5 will go into long term support? Thanks

This is NOT solved I am not using 14.5RC1.
