LDAP Bind Multiple Domains

We have a few active directory domains (i.e. corp.domain.local, remote.otherdomain.local, etc) with trusts setup between them.
Is there a way to bind multiple domains to xwiki?

In the LDAP Authenticator Use Cases

It talked about users not being location on the same server and "XWiki cannot search in multiple domains (as of XWiki 1.5). "

Does anyone know if this functionality has been added or if there’s an example configuration using subdomains?
