I installed the ldap extension and I cannot see the configuration in Administration, even I add the config in xwiki.cfg file.
The plan is to integrate with AD. It is posible or I need to buy AD license?

You most probably installed only the “Authenticator”, you need the “Application” to get the basic UI (since the authenticator does not really need it, it’s just a helper).
You can see examples on https://extensions.xwiki.org/xwiki/bin/view/Extension/LDAP/Authenticator/#HDetailedusecases. Yes AD is supported though the LDAP protocol (note that recently Microsoft started to use “Active Directory” naming for things which have nothing to do with LDAP) as any other LDAP server.
What you mainly get with https://store.xwiki.com/xwiki/bin/view/Extension/ActiveDirectoryApplication (if that’s what you mean by “AD license”) is a much easier to use UI focusing on AD to help configure the authenticator, it also comes with professional support and the satisfaction of helping sponsor the XWiki development
