LDAP group sync failure

Hello Everyone,

My name is Benedikt and XWiki is a topic for me for about 1-2 months.
I would be very grateful if you can help me so solve this topic with ldap group sync.

We have set up a new Xwiki on Redhat (Red Hat Enterprise Linux Server release 7.4 (Maipo)) with Tomcat ( 8.5.23) and imported the full export of an old XWiki with an Import Script (snippets.xwiki.org/xwiki/bin/view/Extension/Large%20XAR%20Import)
and the Options (Don’t overwrite, with Versions).

We have configured LDAP group Sync

But, because of the import nearly all the users are already in XWiki, so the option “Upon creation of a user” does not work to trigger a sync of groups.

When I use the “always” option, a login triggers the creation and assignment of and to the group works, but the login takes up to 12 minutes.

My question is now, why does XWiki not sync the groups and there members every 5 minutes?

We have watched the logs of the ldap server after a manually “Reset group cache”, but there was no entry from the XWiki server.

We have turned on Logging for all ldap modules
