I go to the three points of the page I want to move
I click on the icon at “New location”.
I click on the parent page of the desired new location.
It will correctly display the new scheduled location on the following page.
After clicking the Rename button, the following message appears: “This job is waiting to be started. Please be patient: there might be another job running on the same pages.”
The page remains in the old location.
It will not be moved.
Not after waiting >24 hours
Not after closing and reopening the browser.
The page remains accessible to all in the original location.
Can someone please help me how to move pages. I’m just stumped, it won’t work.
Do you hit the same issue for all pages or just for some?
Some things that might help you find out what the issue is:
if you make yourself an advanced user (you can activate it by pressing xxxa in any page), you should be able to see the logs of the job on the Rename Status page
the url of the Rename Status page contains the id of the move/rename job (the renameId property), you should be able to find a data/jobs/status/refactoring/rename/${renameId} directory in your permanent directory, also containing the job logs.
Hello everyone and thank you very much for trying to help me. Unfortunately, I do not get on at all.
I do not know where to check the web server logs.
I have set myself up as an advanced user, but I don’t know where to find the logs from the job.
With the hint “the url of the Rename Status page contains the id of the move/rename job (the property), you should be able to find a directory in your permanent directory, also containing the job logs.renameIddata/jobs/status/refactoring/rename/${renameId}” I can’t do anything.
Sorry
Dear all, thank you for your support!
I have managed to do it.
I restarted the Linus xWiki server via the Windows PowerShell console and suddenly it works again.
I didn’t find out which service stopped moving the pages, but at least this solution helped.
