Multiple versions of extension after upgrade

After XWiki upgrade from 17.10.8 to 17.10.10 version the list of installed extensions contains two versions of “Panels Application”.

Editing the Welcome panel shows warning

How to fix that situation and how that might happen? (it was not me performing the upgrade and not sure what procedure was performed)

For PDF Export Application there are three versions listed in “Installed extensions”

and on other production instance the state is declared in little different way (maybe this is better/corect view?)

Hello @peter.viskup,

Do you happen to have sub-wikis by any chance? It is likely that the multi versions are coming from sub-wiki where a different version of the same extension is installed.
One possible fix is to execute the distribution wizard on the sub-wikis by visiting them with an admin user.

Yes both instances have multiple sub-wikis.

Is it possible to get list of installed extensions “per sub-wiki”?

The main wiki admin shows extensions installed everywhere (this is not really configurable), but if you go to a subwiki admin you will only see extensions installed in this subwiki (and extensions installed at root level).

Just discovered inproper installation of XWiki Standard Flawor on “problematic” instance.

There is older version of the same Flawor in the same “not valid” state.

Is it safe to start “Repair” and for which version?

You should install (or upgrade) the flavor which matches the version of XWiki you have.

The issue was caused by restoring database from 17.10.8 version to 17.10.10 installation.

Is it possible to fix that other way than with use of WebUI? That way didn’t work and I am stuck on “XWiki Standard Common Application” not able to reinstall/fix.
