Navigation panel stuck on loading (several changed permissions)

In our instance I changed several permissions to close as much of the wiki as possible to people not part of a specific group, so several hiccups are expected.

I’ll have to re-check all those changes, but now I want to give a user (a group) the chance to navigate and edit a specific subpage.

The page is: Home > Category > SubPage.

I have:

  • given MyGroup rights to view+edit SubPage & children
  • rights to view Category & children
  • rights to view Home (only)
  • right to view Xwiki & children

Moreover:

  • rights to view Panels & children

But yet the Navigation panel is stuck on Loading…

What am I missing?

In How to investigate permission issues (navigation panel not loading) XWiki.DocumentTree and XWiki.DocumentTreeMacros were mentioned, should the above permissions cover them?

It looks like at the time of the other thread I gave explicit view permissions to another group: I just removed those and now the Navigation panel fills up.

In case I’ve done anything wrong here, let me know, of course :slight_smile:
