New contrib extension repository - Events application

Hi everyone,

I’d like to propose a new extension with the name “Events”, aimed at helping anyone using XWiki documenting conferences / salons / … or any kind of events they attend to. The idea is to have a tool that would allow to list events, and describe presentations or interventions that are made in these events.

Regarding the repository, I’ll be creating GitHub - xwiki-contrib/application-events: Event management application for the application code
I’ll also create the JIRA project EVENTS.

• We have https://www.xwiki.org/xwiki/bin/view/Blog/Events Would the idea be to replace it?
• I have coded for my personal blog the following (very simple): https://massol.myxwiki.org/xwiki/bin/view/Activities/Data/ Are you doing something similar?
• We also have https://dev.xwiki.org/xwiki/bin/view/PresentationIdea/ for xwiki.org. Is it similar?
