Hello everyone,

I developed an extension to display OpenProject issues similar to the GitLab macros and JIRA macros. It’s a first version towards a better connection between the two tools which are both part of OpenDesk.

Could I have the repository xwiki-contrib/application-openproject and related JIRA project.

Hi everyone!

I’m a Ruby developer of the OpenProject instance. We use XWiki in our team. We want to integrate XWiki and OpenProject. I saw your plugin on GitHub but I don’t understand how to integrate it. I did not see OpenProject macros in the list of extensions in the editor menu and didn’t see on the XWiki Extensions site.

I would also like to see a demo of this extension in action. Maybe video or screenshots?

What steps do I need to take to integrate the OpenProject and XWiki?

Hello, this project has been developed by @ludovic so far and I don’t think it’s been released (hence the invalid link in openproject/README.md at main · xwiki-contrib/openproject · GitHub), which is why you don’t see any doc!

I think it was coded as a quick POC but wasn’t finished.

I know there are plans to improve it in the near future but I don’t know of any public roadmap for it. You could also contribute to it if you’re a developer. If you’re not then stay tuned to announcements! :slight_smile:

As I can see OpenProject Team planning to integrate XWiki with OpenProject in 2025 Q3.

Hi,

I confirm, that this is experimental code, for the XWiki side of integration, showing OpenProject data in XWiki in a similar way as the JIRA, GitHub or GitLab macros of XWiki. It does some very basic job with some issues in particular in the authentication part.

Now, we have strong plans to build integration between XWiki and OpenProject during 2025, both on the XWiki and OpenProject sides.

The XWiki work will probably be in this repository (GitHub - xwikisas/openproject), unless we change this.
