No failed login message

My XWiki installation is integrated with LDAP. Today I noticed that if I enter a wrong password there’s no Login failed message or similar, the form is just cleared.

Is it expected or maybe I misconfigured something?

Just checked this on a 14.10.18 and the behavour is the same.

I just noticed that if I either:

  • leave the password field blank
  • leave the username field blank

in both cases an error is shown, e.g.:

@tmortagne can this be somehow related to the LDAP Authenticator?

It’s very possible, yes. It might be missing some context property set.
