Just throwing a quick idea, but IMO it’d be way easier to maintain if we had colorThemes diversity done via standard colorTheme values and not via 1000+ hardcoded lines of LESS.
A bit of time needs to be spent to make a new palette of colorThemes to replace Bootswatch ones, but the advantage is that we could:
Keep theme variety
Lose less time fixing important bugs for bootswatch themes.
Bugs we find would be clear indicator of generic colorTheme bugs.
I’m a bit late to this party, sorry I missed the initial discussion. But I wanted to at least chip in, since I’m now in the process of proposing a few changes to Iceberg, to improve the default experience. I generally agree with the idea of having fewer Themes by default and providing a strong main Theme suited for customization, like you said lastly.
