OpenID Connect Authenticator vs Microsoft Entra ID OpenID Connect (OIDC) extensions

I am bit confused about whats the difference between OpenID Connect Authenticator vs Microsoft Entra ID OpenID Connect (OIDC) extensions.

Are they both intended to do the same job, if yes then why will one pay for Microsoft Entra ID OpenID Connect (OIDC) extension.

We are trying to explore xwiki for our Org and am looking for some advise, whether we can keep going with OpenID Connect Authenticator or should we switch to license base Microsoft Entra ID OpenID Connect (OIDC) extension.

If we need to switch do we have any specific reason.

If you had any issues with the extension, the dedicated support team would offer assistance and a resolution according to their SLA.

Strictly technically speaking, you could achieve the same outcome (authenticating in XWiki with Entra ID) with either extension.
