In the navigation panel, i want to organise the “Parent Page”.
I go to [ADMINISTER WIKI] → [LOOK & FEEL] → [NAVIGATION PANEL].
In Navigation i have this :
Administration
Bases de données
Home
Outils
Systeme
I change the order like this and click [SAVE]
Home
Bases de données
Systeme
Outils
Administration
But my configuration is not taken into account .
Do you have an idea how can i change the order of my parents page.

Saving the manual / custom order is not supported currently, see Loading... , but it has been requested a couple of times. Maybe https://extensions.xwiki.org/xwiki/bin/view/Extension/Pinned%20Child%20Pages%20Application/ can help.

I konw this might not be the standard use case, but I’m exploring the possibilities to write a book.
This feature would be essential if you don’t want to write the book on one single page.

Thanks for the hint. I’ve been looking for something like that for a long time.
However, it’s not working for me.
I implemented it according to the example. The widget is visible and I can drag and drop the pages but the new order apparently doesn’t get saved to the PinnedChildPages object.
Is this just for me or a bug? @slauriere
I tried this but it doesn’t work. I installed the extension, then added XWiki.PinnedChildPagesClass object to the page. I then picked all the pages that are children and arranged the way I want and pressed Save & View button. When the page is opened, it still shows the default alphabetical arrangement and not my custom one:
I don’t know what version of XWiki you’re using but for recent versions of XWiki you don’t need to install anything. You just need to go to the Wiki Administration > Look & Feel > Navigation Panel and reorder the pages using drag & drop, as the hint suggests, see https://extensions.xwiki.org/xwiki/bin/view/Extension/Panels%20Application#HNavigationPanel . And if you want to do it for any nested page (not just for the top level) then see https://www.xwiki.org/xwiki/bin/view/documentation/xs/user/base/page/view-page/pin-children-pages/ .
