Page created while install macro

Hi team!
Couple days ago I installed in my xwiki 11.10.2 macro Spoiler (btw, very usable macro). Installation was performed from Global Administration: Extensions page. And today I noticed that empty page “Macros” with subpage “Macro Spoiler” automatically was created.
Is it correct behaviour? I do not want users to see this pages… I know, that I can tune rights to this pages, hide it from users, but why it was created?

Regards, Vadim

It just means that the Spoiler macro extension should be improved and hide its pages by default. It’s not a supported macro though but if you could release a new version. It’s not a macro that’s in https://github.com/xwiki-contrib btw so I guess it’s just a XAR attached to the page on extensions.xwiki.org.

As a workaround, you can simply edit the Macros.WebHome page and set it to hidden. See https://www.xwiki.org/xwiki/bin/view/Documentation/UserGuide/Features/PageEditing#HHidingPages

Actually you need to do that on the Macro Spoiler page.

The reason this page exist is because this actually is the macro. Its code is located in this page.

Right, my bad. I misread and thought the extension created both pages.I was tricked by the usage of the plural in:

I do not want users to see this pages…

Vincent, Thomas, thank you for the explanation!
Have a nice weekends!

Thomas, Vincent was right - if i disable “View” and enable “Script” rights of “Macro Spoiler” page - macro become not usable, not rendered in pages.
But is I uncheck all “rights” boxes on “Macro Spoiler” page and disable only “View” right on “Macros” page - spoiler macro works fine.

Thank you!

@amadis nobody talked about rights. When you edit a page you can indicate that you want it to be hidden (there is a checkbox on the right).

Thank you for info, Thomas. I forgot about hidden pages…
