Page Rename Failed / Orphaned Pages (Cannot Open)

I tried to rename a page and move it to from Main to Main / Business Office twice, first to

Main / Business Office / Sage 50 (Peachtree)

That failed with an error (did not capture), so then I tried this name:

Main / Business Office / Sage 50

Still failed. Today, were able to rename to this just fine:

Main / Business Office / Sage 50 (Peachtree)

Now, we have the 2 failed in search and they are not accessible, so we can’t delete them:

The 2 failed pages have no spaces around the forward slash. How do we remove these 2 pages?

Probably a bad configuration of Tomcat, see Can´t delete or view a page - #20 by MB-gam for ex.

You didn’t mention the XWiki version, but the breadcrumbs from the search results seem to indicate your problem is Loading... .

Oh, I forgot to post what happens when you click a link to one of those bad pages:

But the thing is, we don’t have /, , or | in the page name. Main/Business is a “path” (or whatever you call it), as Business is the parent page of the page we are trying to rename.

@laurin1 then it’s probably the issue mentioned by @mflorea

Actually, I might try the Tomcat solution anyway, because I’m wondering if the failed rename didn’t insert Main/Business into the actual page name (kind of looks like that).

Made Tomcat change, I can now access those bad pages, and look at this! What it did when I tried to move the page was create a “page” (is that what this is?) called “Main/Business Office”!

But that page does not exist:

However, after reading Loading..., it does appear that is what happened to me that caused this in the first place!
