I have an xwiki installed with the WAR package. I plan to use the Pro Macros license. This license is tied to an INSTANCE ID, but the way to upgrade WAR is to install a new distribution. Therefore, I wonder if such upgrades will affect the INSTANCE ID and thus I will lose the Pro Macros license?
application licenses only work with deb packages when updating the xwiki?
The instance id is generated data and is stored in the database, not in the WAR (XWiki generally does not have write access to its own WAR for security reasons). So changing the WAR won’t have any impact on it.
