QuickSearch Design Improvements

Thiago’s proposal looks good. My comments:

  • I’d do Simplify the default search suggest sources first so that instead of showing “in {search category}” (e.g. “in Page Titles”) we simply show “{search category}” (e.g. “Pages”). For me the mix of lower case “in” and title case “Page Titles” looks strange. “Pages” is more straightforward.
  • I’d keep the “Go to Search Page…” at the end, after a separator, as in the latest proposal
  • I’m wondering if the “Quick Results” header with close button is really needed. We use similar dropdowns in many places in XWiki (i.e. for the page picker) and we don’t show a close button there; maybe it’s needed for accessibility? or on small screens? If not then I’d drop it to keep things simple.

Thanks,
Marius
