I have an thread parallel to this exactly about the blue box appearing when using a reverse proxy. If you are directly connecting to the application server however it might be something else.

As promised here is our minimalistic running configuration with SSL and Realtime WYSIWYG working behind nginx. We are running XWiki 15.10 on Debian 11 with the tomcat9 .DEB Package. The default nginx configuration still aplies and includes the tomcat9.conf file. For my understanding the force editing warning is still „normal“ currently as Realtime WYSIWYG is still in experimental state.
