Going to this page: https://www.xwiki.org/xwiki/bin/view/ReleaseNotes/Data/XWiki/15.10.13/?viewer=changes&rev1=1.1&rev2=6.3&
and hitting “Rendered”, ends up in a 504 error:
Works for me, maybe the problem was temporary.
Nope, still the same.
I don’t know if it could be on my side, anyway in this screenshot there’s the wiki footer too, maybe it’s the node?
I’ve tested on both chrome and FF and both worked for me.
Before replying above I had also tested on both nodes (node1 and node2) and both worked for me.
Rendered diff is quite slow as the diff computation is slow. For security reasons, old revisions are rendered in restricted mode. If this leads to rendering errors, as it is the case for the release notes (see, e.g., https://www.xwiki.org/xwiki/bin/view/ReleaseNotes/Data/XWiki/15.10.13/?rev=1.1), the diff becomes big and very slow which leads to these timeouts.
I can reproduce the timeout, btw., I think @vmassol didn’t actually open the rendered diff but the raw diff.
Indeed you’re right, I just clicked the link and didn’t click on the “Rendered” tab. I can reproduce too.
We would need, at least, to display an error message (maybe use a job). Right now, it’s just empty. Feel free to create a jira issue.
Thx
Sure, can you point me to the right jira project?
