Replication Application 1.0.0 is released

I’m very happy to announced that the Replication Application finally reached it first stable recommended version.

The last blocker to be recommended was to provide a mechanism to make sure an instance which send you a message really is what it’s claiming to be, and this has covered using the exchange of keys and signed messages.

Aside of this, the version also comes with the following:

  • Don’t let instances which are not owners remove another instance from replication configuration
  • Show the replication controller in the doc extra
  • Prevent the modification of the instance URI once it started to be stored by other instances

See more details on Replication Application (XWiki.org).

The plan for the next version is to provide a tool to ask other instance to help recover lost changes in pages when you restore some instance to an old backup.
