Hi! I’ve being user that extension for years. It is simple an effective. Thanks!

But it includes several calls to the deprecated method org.apache.velocity.tools.generic.SortTool.sort. I’ve edited it and changed to org.apache.velocity.tools.generic.CollectionTool.sort and now it is working like a charm and no more warnings are recorded in catalina.out.

Could it be possible to have a 1.1.2 release of Top Menu extension?

For the record: I would be able to find the origin of my “always growing catalina.out file” without the help of ChatGPT. Thanks, ChatGPT!

What you could do it create a new version as a XAR file and attach it to https://extensions.xwiki.org/xwiki/bin/view/Extension/Top_Panel_Menu/#Attachments
