Unable to use xwiki image syntax

I am unable to use xwiki image syntax .
I am creating a bootstrap carousel in a container. Under

tag am writing [[image : img.jpg]]. Its not working. Please help me out

That’s not image syntax. Why do you put white spaces around the “:” ?

even after removing whitespaces its not working

Are you sure your are using wiki editor and not WYSIWYG ?

Are you sure your document syntax is xwiki/2.0 or 2.1 (look on the right panel) ?
