Hi XWiki Team,
I’m exploring the brand new XE 11.6-RC1 in standalone version, to get used to the many new features and to prepare a future production version of our environment, when stable version becomes available. However, I’m facing some issues with user accounts validation in sub wikis (sorry If I’m missing the point in some way here).
I have just the default Admin account and a test user created manually, whose account states as active in user profile. Both accounts can login and navigate without problems in the Main global wiki. But if I create any subwikis and try to navigate into it, using any of the two accounts stated above (that are joined and/or owner of them), it keeps showing the notice “Your account is not yet active, because your email has not been confirmed”, and keeps asking forever for the account validation key token. Unable to proceed to the subwiki.
I won’t use user registration in the wiki in the future, just LDAP users for an intranet (I’ve disabled the user verification feature in “Users & Rights” -> “Registration”). The behaviour is the same with LDAP user accounts, also set as active. I haven’t configured any sendmail configs.
I’ve also tried to set manually a verification key in the corresponding XWikiUser class attribute, but no success and it keeps asking for it in any subwikis I try. Even the Admin account that comes default in the standalone package, even set as owner of the sub wiki, doesn’t work.
Is it related to the changes made in Jira XWIKI-12653 (https://jira.xwiki.org/browse/XWIKI-12653)? And also, the documentation regarding inactive users doesn’t seem do apply here, since the users above are not set “inactive” - https://www.xwiki.org/xwiki/bin/view/Documentation/AdminGuide/User%20Management#HInactiveUsers
How can I proceed?
