Using the Diagram Macro seems unintuitive

Hello all,
users complained that the use of the Diagram macro seems unintuitive.

When they want to include a Diagram into a page, then they choose the Diagram macro. But instead of being able to create the diagram after the macro selection only a “Create diagram” button appears that is not clickable.

Then users have to end the edit mode first, then they have to click the button to draw the diagram and then they have to click the edit button for the page again. This workflow is rather unintuitive and breaks the idea of “I am working on this page”. This is especially painful for collab editing sessions.

Are there any plans to improve the user experience in this matter or did we miss something that already exists?

Yes, I also think it’s an interesting choice. It is also interesting that the selection of another diagram is far too complicated. In the free version you can at least use the “include” macro. In the pro version this is also not supported (the xml is displayed).
