I know the WebDAV server in Xwiki is not supported any more, but I used it more than once to perform mass updates in Xwiki in case of changed URLs in foreign systems and similar circumstances. (Just using CLI tools to perform the pattern-based mass replacements.)
The last few times it worked quite nicely, but this time (using Xwiki 14.10.17), all updated pages were “truncated” at the end. It turns out that apparently already the loaded text contents of the wiki.txt files were cut off at the end, sometimes missing only a few characters, sometimes even a few whole lines.
Does anyone have any idea what might go wrong, or alternatively, are there “more official” ways to perform such mass replacements using regular expression search and replace?
