XWiki 9.4 is stuck with the message "XWiki is initializing (12%)…"

I installed XWiki 9.4 on CentOS 7. I installed it with

java -jar xwiki-enterprise-installer-generic-9.4-standard.jar

I modified the file webpass/xwiki/WEB-INF/xwiki.properties, so that it specifies:
extension.repositories=
This is to avoid checks at startup and at runtime and tries to connect to remote Extension repositories.

I started XWiki by launching start_xwiki.sh under root.

Launching XWiki gives me the message
“Server started, you can now open http://tu-webdla-d01.sis.cnes.fr:8080/ in your browser to access your wiki.”

If I open this address with lynx on the same machine XWiki is installed upon, XWiki remains stuck at:

"REFRESH(1 sec): http://tu-webdla-d01.sis.cnes.fr:8080/xwiki/bin/view/Main/

XWiki is initializing (12%)…"

Can anyone help me ? Why is XWiki stuck, and how could I fix this ?

WDYM by stuck? How long have you left it running?

Maybe it’s executing a one off long migration? What does’t the xwiki logs say?

It’s a very strange version to install in 2020. I would recommend you to take a look at https://www.xwiki.org/xwiki/bin/view/Download/.
