Xwiki URL change from Tomcat to Homepage

Hi

I just installed Xwiki on Ubuntu with Tomcat when i navigate to http://ip-address:8080 it takes me to the Tomcat page " It works !" instead of the Xwiki home page. Instead i have to enter /xwiki after the URL like so:

http://ip-address:8080/xwiki

How do i change that behavior so when i enter http://ip-address:8080 it takes me directly to the home page.

To remove the “/xwiki” part you could take a look at Short URLs (XWiki.org). Now XWiki is most of the time used behind an HTTP proxy like Nginx or Apache HTTPD (generally to expose http://mydomain instead of http://mydomain:8080) in which redirecting / to /xwiki is very easy.
