Missing rights to install an extension (myxwiki.org)

Hi,

How can I install the following extension https://extensions.xwiki.org/xwiki/bin/view/Extension/Numbered%20Headings which requires “programming rights” not available on this hosting solution?

  1. You cannot install extensions requiring PR on myxwiki.org, see https://www.myxwiki.org/xwiki/bin/view/Main/WebHome
  2. I don’t this the extension you mentioned requires PR (I don’t see why it would). Could you tell me why you think it requires PR?

Please find the log when performing extension install through extension manager wizard:

“Access denied when checking [programming] access to [Wiki tutos] for user [xxx]”

Note: I agree with you and I’m really surprised that this kind of “little” macro requires PR rights.

I have no clue since it’s a XAR and thus shouldn’t require PR. @tmortagne any idea? Thanks

Hi, Don’t ask me why but I managed to install this extension (the same way I tried several times earlier: with extension manager).

This subject is closed for me ;-).

Installing a XAR does not require PR, it does not mean it does not require PR at runtime.

Also if you look at the log you will notice that the error is related to http://extensions.xwiki.org/xwiki/bin/view/Extension/Numbered%20Reference%20Macro/ which is a JAR.
