Paste second image via clipboard overwrite first image

Hi at all,

I am just getting into using XWiki and would like to replace my old Confluence.

For the most part, I’m just writing plain text, code examples, and screenshots.

However, when I want to paste a second screenshot into the page via the clipboard, the first screenshot is overwritten because both imports are uploaded under the same name (grafik.png).

Is there any way to append a timestamp to the file name so I can import multiple images via the clipboard?

I use XWiki version 13.6.

Thanks
Ulf

This happens in firefox only, as far as I know. If you use any other browser (Edge, for example) your screenshots shoud receive ids.

Sorry for my delay.
Yes, you’re right. In Chrome I’ve got id’s

If anybody find’s the setting in Firefox to rename the clipboard files, please post it here.

Thanks
Ulf

I face this issue regardless if I use Firefox, Chrome or Edge.
It always uses the same base filename for the pasted image " fileCreatedFromDataURI.png".
I’m using Xwiki 14.10.3 running in docker from official docker image “xwiki:lts-mariadb-tomcat”
