On the Contributing page there is a section about “Sponsoring issues”. The issue is that this plugin is deprecated, so we need to decide if we want to replace it with something else or remove it.

One thing FreedomSponsors had was the integration with the issue tracker.
Do you know some alternatives that we can replace FreedomSponsors with?
OpenCollective could be an easy/transparent way of collecting some funds, but it’s more in the donations idea than issues bounties.
Let me know what you think. Would you use such a service or relying on the Professional Support is enough?
